HÃ Giang is the northernmost but also the poorest province in Vietnam. The landscape is characterized by mighty mountains and breathtaking nature. You will also meet ethnic minorities like the Dao or Hmong, who live in the mountain villages of the region. The infrastructure is very underdeveloped and in the rainy season a trip to HÃ Giang is almost impossible. Nevertheless, many tourists come to the province every year to experience the authenticity of Vietnam. The HÃ Giang Loop, a multi-day motorcycle route through the mountains and villages of the region, is popular. I also drove this tour and have to say that it was the best experience in Vietnam. The feeling of freedom, a nature that takes your breath away and the cultural diversity make HÃ Giang my highlight in Southeast Asia.
