Sanctuary
A sanctuary is usually a place or building of central religious importance. There are various sanctuaries in the world. Most of these structures are impressive architectural masterpieces and attract countless tourists. I’ve visited some sanctuaries while traveling, even if I’m actually not very religious. Nevertheless, I am fascinated by the history and culture behind these unique works of art. On this page you will find contributions to my travels to various sanctuaries, such as the old Khmer temples in Angkor or the ruins of the first kingdom of the Thai. There are many examples such as the pyramids of Egypt or the mighty cathedrals of European cities.
